His name is Sun Dong, 45 years old, an ordinary farmer from Daxing Village, Guangxi. 25 years ago, he took over his father's rice processing business, starting with a small processing machine and gradually building it into an agricultural enterprise integrating planting, drying, processing, and packaging. Today, Sun Dong is the general manager of Daxing Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd.
Initially, he and his father only had a small processing machine, processing rice for farmers.
"Well, we could earn some processing fees, but the barrier to entry was low; anyone could do it. If you couldn't scale up and build your own brand, you'd be eliminated," Sun Dong realized after working with his father for several years. So, in 2006, he sold his small machine, purchased new rice processing equipment from UGOOD, and established a formal rice processing plant, with a daily processing capacity of up to 40 tons. He also registered the "Daxing Rice" trademark.
This continued until 2017, when, with the continuous increase in rice production, the small processing plant could no longer meet the production needs. By this time, Sun Dong had already worked in the rice processing industry for 17 years, accumulating considerable experience. He decided to simultaneously increase daily drying and processing capacity, especially drying.
After a year of operation, in 2018, Sun Dong established a larger-scale processing plant with a daily processing capacity of 120 tons, or 5 tons of rice per hour. The plant introduced UGOOD's specialized rice drying equipment, achieving a daily drying capacity of 600 tons.
He adopted a "you plant, I harvest" model, leading farmers to cultivate 5,000 mu (approximately 333 hectares) of rice. After planting and harvesting, the farmers would transport their golden rice to Qian Peng's processing plant, guaranteeing a profit.
"To obtain fragrant rice with distinct, uniform grains, multiple steps are required," he explained. "Three rice-machine screenings, three polishing processes, two color sortings, and then it goes through a 3.0-mesh sieve for broken rice. In this final step, not only broken rice is removed, but even smaller grains are eliminated."
It is through this rigorous selection process that a truly excellent rice is created!
