UGOOD's agricultural vertical silo project in Hubei Province is expected to be fully operational by the end of this year. This initiative will significantly improve grain handling efficiency and further reduce logistics costs.

After a year of effort, UGOOD's Hubei vertical silo project has been successfully completed. The 30,000-ton vertical silos and one-stop logistics service center have all been built, marking a significant milestone in the project's progress. Currently, the company is accelerating the construction of supporting roads, fire protection, and water supply and drainage systems to ensure the project is operational by the end of this year. This milestone will not only greatly improve grain handling efficiency but also lay a solid foundation for reducing logistics costs.

These nine newly completed vertical silos, as an important second phase of the project, primarily serve the port project, enabling efficient grain transshipment and storage.

These vertical silos are all fully automated, significantly improving grain loading and unloading efficiency compared to the adjacent flat warehouses. “Previously, flat warehouses could only process 300-500 tons of grain per hour, while now, the efficiency of vertical silos is as high as 1000-1500 tons, an increase of 3-5 times,” explained Bai, the design engineer.

The vertical silo project covers approximately 40,000 square meters and has an astonishing storage capacity, capable of holding up to 30,000 tons of grain. After the project is put into operation, it will significantly reduce logistics costs for local businesses and grain-using enterprises.
